About Jua and her family...
My name is Jua, which in Swahili means “sun” and that is what I am for my entire family. I live on a large horse farm with of course many horses, my best Jack-Russell-girlfriend Nicki and our successful mouse catcher Kylie. I can run through the pastures all day when the weather is good, spur our cattle and horses to a short run or simply lie in the sun. Only when it is raining do I stay indoors. That is where I enjoy the comfortable atmosphere of the house. My mistress takes me to agility once a week as I also have to do something meaningful, . This is fun, especially with anything that has to do with jumping and climbing.In addition, there are always tasty snacks in between as a reward.

My folks consist of 3 people. First there is the impressive boss, who works with the stallions which are too dangerous for me. My dearest play friend is Daughter Bernice. Unfortunately she has to go to school for far too long and then she even has to do homework, instead of romping with me. Luckily there is always caring farmer’s wife who is constantly present or she takes me with her, so I am very seldom all alone.

Several Rhodesian Ridgebacks lived with a part of my family before me. As far as is known my mistress had the second RR bitch in Germany. In 1962 Inja came from South Africa by plane, as a puppy in the cockpit, as a Christmas gift to her new home. Since then only Rhodesian Ridgebacks apart from a giant schnauzer have lived and live with the recently divided family.
We simply are a great breed
